    How long does it take to cook a pizza?

    Depending on the temperature of the oven, between 60-90 seconds.

    How do you not burn the pizza?

    To make the perfect pizza, you should keep turning the pizza away from the flames every 10- 12 seconds, allowing a full rotation of the pizza.  Watch our video on line.

    TOP TIP

    After each pizza scrub the oven floor with the steel brush to remove any burnt remains from the excess flour/semolina from the pizza base.

    How do I stop my pizza base from going black/ burning?

    There can be two reasons for this.  1) The oven is too hot; don’t use more than 3 logs of 8-10cm wide and 22-26cm.  2) There may be surplus flour/semolina remains on the oven floor.  Scrub the oven floor with the steel brush.

    FREE DOUGH DELIVERY
    Order your dough online and receive it in 2 working days.  
    Orders will be delivered between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (if you place your order on the weekend, we cannot guarantee processing for delivery on Monday).  
    A signature will be required upon receipt of goods.  
    Your parcel can be left with a neighbour (please specify on the delivery note), due to the nature of the product we are unable to leave your parcel outside.

We have created a range of delicious pizza dough, containing only natural ingredients, freshly frozen to enjoy in your own home. Introducing dough to go; cooking made easy for you & your family.

We source all our organic dough from the Pillitteri family members based in the UK. Many have tried to master the art of pizza but the traditional methods of dough preparation have been neglected over time, affecting the quality and taste of true Neopolitan Italian pizza.

Thankfully the Pillitteri family has consistently used traditional methods since the 1900s and has passed the art of dough preparation through its family for many generations.

Why organic dough?

The most up-to-date research shows that organic crops are of a much
higher nutritional quality than their non-organic counterparts. Our organic pizza dough ball ingredients include pink Himalayan rock salt, natural yeast and purified water. Combined with organic flour this forms a product of distinct quality and fantastic taste.

 

How to use your dough

THE BEST WAY

1. Remove the dough balls from the freezer & lay the frozen dough balls onto a tray, keep them in their separate bags, leave them in refrigeration at 4ºC overnight.
2. The next day remove the dough from their bags carefully, dip them into a bowl full of flour & place them back onto a tray.
3. Leave them out at room temperature approx 20º C for a minimum of 1-2 hours before making a pizza. (The dough must be covered at all times with a damp tea towel to prevent them from drying out).
4. Roll out your dough using your hands & start to stretch the dough.
5. Place your toppings & cook until ready.

THE QUICK WAY

1. Remove the dough balls from the freezer & lay the frozen dough balls onto a tray, keep them in their separate bags.
2. Leave them out at room temperature approx 20º C for a minimum of 1 hour.
3. When defrosted, remove the dough from their bags carefully, dip them into a bowl full of flour & place them back onto a tray & leave for an extra 1-2 hours.
(The dough must be covered at all times with a damp tea towel to prevent them from drying out).
4. Roll out your dough using your hands & start to stretch the dough.
5. Place your toppings & cook until ready.
