More than just a pizza Oven …

The beauty of the Delivita oven is that it was designed to cook the perfect pizza (which it does amazingly) however this little stylish number does a lot more. Why not give this vegetarian pepper dish a go…


Roast red peppers & tomatoes with garlic & basil

Serves 2 as a main dish, 4 as a side dish 


•   1 large red pepper

•   250/300g of cherry tomatoes

•   2 cloves of peeled garlic (Optional)

•   6 fresh basil leaves

•   1.5 tbl spoons of olive oil 

•   Salt & freshly ground pepper

(Tip: you will need a tray/pan that can withstand the heat of the oven, aswell as a pair of woodburner gloves)


•   Cut pepper in 1/2 remove stem and seeds

•   Slice pepper into 1.5cm strips and place in a bowl 

•   Finally chop the garlic and add to peppers

•   Add the tomatoes and olive oil and turn all ingredients to ensure that are coated on the oil

•   Place the peppers, tomatoes and garlic in suitable roasting tray / pan  (that can withstand the high temperature of the oven) and sprinkle with slat and black pepper to taste

•   Cook in a pre heated oven 300 to 400 degrees rotating several times and until the peppers and tomatoes have gained a good colour/charing without over burning, approximately 10 min’s 

•   Sprinkle with torn basil leaves
